Taking in the breathtaking views of the city and Danube River as well as a comprehensive look into Slovak history, I started my journey at the Bratislava Castle.

I took a direct train by RegioJet from Brno to Bratislava.

I was fascinated by the Gothic St. Martin’s Cathedral, the Old Town’s winding lanes, and the wacky monuments like Cumil the Sewer Worker. I also visited the Slovak National Gallery the following day and marveled at the unusual Blue Church. I had lunch in the hip Eurovea neighborhood after crossing the UFO Bridge and taking in the expansive views from its observation deck.

Seeing Devín Castle, which is imposingly positioned atop a cliff with a view of the Danube and Morava rivers coming together, was one of the highlights of my trip. The surrounding natural splendor and the remains of the castle were breathtaking.

Seeing Devín Castle, which is imposingly positioned atop a cliff with a view of the Danube and Morava rivers coming together, was one of the highlights of my trip. The surrounding natural splendor and the remains of the castle were breathtaking.

My trip came to a conclusion with a tranquil stroll along the Danube promenade at dusk, which wonderfully captured Bratislava’s unique fusion of old-world beauty and contemporary energy. This city is a must-visit European treasure because of its rich history, lively culture, and kind demeanor.

During my visit, I have stayed in a hostel, I always book my accommodation from Hostelworld.
